Praise: A strategy for the current battle

In a couple instances (including the audio below) I've felt led to express some revelation that began to expand in my spirit in the Saturday night prayer meeting a couple weeks ago. It began when the Lord strongly impressed me to go to the Psalms and look at the significance of act of giving praise -- (declaring God's beauty, power and goodness to us through songs and prayers of thanks and declaration) The Lord specifically led me to Psalm 68 and it's all so good that I found it hard to condense down but here's few verses that stand out:

Ps 68

May God arise, may his enemies be scattered…

4 Sing to God, sing praise to his name, extol him who rides on the clouds--

his name is the LORD--and rejoice before him.

7 When you went out before your people, O God, when you marched through the wasteland,

8 the earth shook, the heavens poured down rain, before God, the One of Sinai, before God, the God of Israel.

9 You gave abundant showers, O God; you refreshed your weary inheritance.

10 Your people settled in it, and from your bounty, O God, you provided for the poor.

17 The chariots of God are tens of thousands and thousands of thousands;

24 Your procession has come into view, O God, the procession of my God and King into the sanctuary.

25 In front are the singers, after them the musicians; with them are the maidens playing tambourines.

26 Praise God in the great congregation; praise the LORD in the assembly of Israel.

28 Summon your power, O God; show us your strength, O God, as you have done before.

29 Because of your temple at Jerusalem kings will bring you gifts.

32 Sing to God, O kingdoms of the earth, sing praise to the Lord,

33 to him who rides the ancient skies above, who thunders with mighty voice.

34 Proclaim the power of God, whose majesty is over Israel, whose power is in the skies.

35 You are awesome, O God, in your sanctuary; the God of Israel gives power and strength to his people.

Praise be to God!

I was also amazed today when I saw this word that Nancy Hurst emailed -- I a message like this "echoes" through many of God's people you know the captain of the armies of heaven is sounding the war cry!

We are in a season of warfare. Remember, in this week of warfare we are giving thanks three times each day (morning, noon and night) so that Lord Sabaoth can release the Hosts of Heaven to war on our behalf. Allow praise to prepare your new pathway! The prophetic word that came forward on Sunday morning was:
"I have a new way for you to leap over that which has been in front of you, a new way for you to go over and into that next phase that I have called you into. I have a new way. I have a new horse for you to ride. It is not the horse of the flesh but the ruling white horse of My Spirit. Get ready to mount up, for I have an army that is not confused. I have an army that I am mobilizing. I have a team of warriors that will now win the war! I am releasing royal horses of war, royal horses that have been prepared for the day of battle. They are made of My invisible, invincible power which is holiness. If you will mount up on My royal war horses you will move with power and distinction. You will be audacious in the victories you will win as I blow My wind over you.
"Today is a day that I am opening the heavens in a new way to heal and prepare My people for war, that they may arise and come on the power of My horse that I sent. I have come this day to heal the adrenal glands in this body. I have come this day to balance out the chemicals inside the thyroid. I have come this day to remove the panic that has laid and embraced in the soul because I am releasing from an oppressing connection and I am tying it to My Spirit this hour. I am REMOVING STRESS that would weaken you as you go forth for Me in days ahead.

"Praise Me seven days to be released from the anxiety and stress that have held you captive! Seven days of praise this week - morning, noon and night. Seven days of praise! For I am shifting you and setting your boat upright. These next seven days I am going to give you revelation over blood flow and strokes. I am going to heal how you got bruised in last season. I am going to remove reproaches off of you that have been hanging on to you. I'm going to do a new thing in you.

"Submit and go the right way. Don't lean on your own understanding. Walk with Me through and I will stand, protect you and justify the route I have asked you to take."

Just as in the great victory of Jesus at the cross -- God often uses the strategy of letting us appear weak (joshua's retreat -click on title above to listen to the audio) so that the enemy will rush into battle only to be defeated. However God does not want us to be confused by this -- his strength is made perfect in weakness and we should not doubt that when we walk in faith and obedience God will ultimately win the victory in our lives and circumstances even though we often appear and even feel weak and vulnerable in process.

While Soaking in God's Presence last night, I saw Jesus resting on a cushioned lounge chair and then He rose up, looking at His beloved to come to Him. Then I saw Jesus on a horse and His beloved was there next to Him and He lifted her up on the horse with Him. The whole time her eyes are locked on His. And almost as soon as she got on the horse with her Beloved, they were at the destination that would have taken them a long time to get to.

Friday 6th Jan into Sat 7th Jan.

I heard whistling, a man whistling. It was almost like Father God had tore open the Heavens and come down and He was whistling, right beside me.

Normally in the spirit I fly to places, other countries etc, into the Heavens, but this time, it was like riding on the sound of the whistle, and the Whistler was right beside me. We seemed to be in jungle, vast amount of treed area, and He kept whistling, and people were moving amongst the trees, coming to the sound of the Whistler. The Whistle seemed to magnetizing/drawing people, awakening people. As I walked alongside the Whistler, I could hear the crackle of twigs on the ground as He stepped on them.

Believe this is refering to Indonesia, jungle remote islands and areas, and He is calling/whistling those, awakening those to come to Arlan and Barbro's meetings.

Zech 10:8 nkj I will whistle for them and gather them, for I will redeem them and they shall increase as they once increased.

Isaiah 5:25-27 esp v 26:-

25c His hand is stretched out still, 26 He will lift up a banner to the nations from afar and will whistle them from the end of the earth. Surely they shall come with speed, swiftly, no one will be weary or stumble among them.

No one will slumber or sleep, nor will the belt of their loins be loosed,

Nor the strap of their sandals be broken.

I somehow heard the jungle creation groaning and eagerly awating for the revealing of the Sons of God. (Ro 8:19)

Felt this is encouragement for the upcoming trip.

The Waterfall Flowing Through Jesus

While Soaking in the Presence of God tonight (in the Isaac Room) I saw a waterfall and something that looks like a weight stretched out over the top of the waterfall is blocking the flow. Then I see the weight break loose and flow on down the waterfall, making the water flow over the rocks freely. Then I see Jesus standing against the rocks and the waterfall is flowing through Him. Then I see God the Father's feet on top of the waterfall, and the water is flowing through His feet.
God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ are very much a part of the Holy Spirit (the waterfall). Sometimes we allow circumstances or people or things to weigh us down and not allow the flow of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Father God and Jesus are very present when Holy Spirit is flowing and the Three of them work as One in our lives, to bring refreshing and healing and all that we need.

This is a dream I had December 30, 2011 I was with a couple at the coast. We had the room on the first floor at the south end of a three story hotel. There was a tsunami alert and then nothing happened and everyone forgot about it. Then suddenly a tsunami wave taller than the hotel swept in inundating everything. We somehow survived, but very few had, there were dead in rooms everywhere.

When we went to the second floor of the hotel in a section behind the ocean view wing, we found one couple who had survived in good health. One who was alive, but in a wastepaper basket (this was a prophetic picture of a person that fear had so gripped they had become a basket case) who seemed to have been brain damaged due to lack of oxygen and the Homer Simpson character, who never said a word (I get the impression this was a picture where Homer represented the media being made silent). We went back to the room on the first floor and everything was intact.

This first part in the hotel had been a dream within a dream about the hotel and tsunami, but I didn’t realize it until the end of the second part of the dream,

There was a sudden shift now in the dream and I was still at the coast, but suddenly at a large outdoor arena, before an outdoor service, with seats set up on the football field. The seating of the arena was very large at least 50 rows up in the stands. When I was first seated I was on the aisle facing toward the arena seating, with all the seats for the service on the flat field. When I saw the speaker, who I knew, but don’t remember who he was even though I knew him and called him by name in the dream. I moved down a few seats to greet him and ended up sitting next to him.

A short time afterward I saw a huge tsunami start coming over the top of the arena roof from behind us and begin to sweep over the top of the entire arena and field. My thought was this doesn’t look good as the wave went in an arc over the whole arena completely to the other side and stayed in place like a plastic or glass covering, still wave shaped. It was like being inside the tube or curl of a huge wave that froze in place protecting everyone. If something the size of what I saw were to come up the Columbia River, anything in or close to the shipping channel, would be in big trouble.

After this as we were sitting there the seating on the field shifted to the opposite direction and we were now seated at the back of the field area before the seats started to raise to the elevated seats up in the arena and we were facing west instead of east.

Something caught our attention as someone came running down the stands behind us and then across and back up to a group of people seated high up toward the back where the seating was under the arena roof. As I looked I saw that it was a friend who used to pastor, but had gone through a period of depression so intense that he had tried multiple times to commit suicide and lost his wife and family as part of the process. He was sitting next to Mike Herron, a prophetic worship leader and musician and some other friends. I ran up the arena to greet him. When I got to him I hugged him and he had tears in his eyes. Mike was prophesying over the woman my friend had brought and Mike looked over to me asking if I had a word for him. I didn’t, but asked my friend if he had been affected by the tsunami. He said he hadn’t as he had been driving through the mountains when the wave had hit.

About this time as the dream was ending I understood that because I had shared the dream about the tsunami hitting the hotel, that intercessors had been praying and standing in the gap. Ezekiel 22:30 “I searched for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand in the gap before Me for the land, so that I would not destroy it; but I found no one (NASB). In the dream the prayer of intercessors had changed what looked like a devastating catastrophe into our protection. Right now are we willing to be Ezekiel 22:30 people and say yes to God. “Yes I will stand in the Gap” and come before God in prayer.

I feel like if we pray, when we see what happens will do like in the dream and our seats we be turned around, completely changing our perspective. When we allow God to get involved in our lives we see things differently, it’s not about what we can do on our own, but when we hear from God. It’s time to align ourselves with what God is saying and obey. I think it’s time to stand in the gap.

Because of the person in the waste basket and also the friend who had been through great trials of depression I believe the biggest part of the message is, “Do not fear.” Will tumultuous times come? Most likely, but our trust must be in God. 2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of timidity (or fear), but of power and love and discipline. Philippians 4:4-7 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

In the first dream the reason for the high loss was that what that the tsunami didn’t happen on our schedule and so we weren’t prepared like we should have been.

It’s also been coming to me that the woman my friend brought with him represents the future and her receiving a prophetic word signifies that there is a future for us, but our perspective is going through a process of change, we need to listen.

Under His Wings

While Soaking in God's Presence... I felt as though I was in the arms of Jesus. The atmosphere was pure and full of light and joy and love. Jesus was full of life and He was in white, I felt His joy and love. Being in His arms was so wonderful, it didn't seem like there could be anything greater. Then He handed me over to His Father/my Papa God, as I went into Papa's hands I became a little child, so happy and full of joy! It was all light and bright and warm and beautiful!!! I went up, up, up with Papa God. Then I was under very large white wings that covered me and I felt so safe and loved and cared for :-) I felt so much Love of God and the Glory of God it was like a weight on me (like a heavy wind would feel, except it wasn't moving) So much joy and life was flowing into me, I felt so alive and well. So lifted up and free!!!
I got Psalms 91:1-4, especially verse 4 [Then] He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings shall you trust and find refuge; His truth and His faithfulness are a shield and a buckler.

Crossing Over

Tonight while soaking I saw (in the spirit) a bridge over a very deep canyon. I (The Bride of Christ) was getting ready to go across, and as I stepped on the bridge it lit up brightly. I saw Jesus right in front of me. He was facing me and was in the air. Each step I took He was with me speaking gently to me. He said He would not leave me alone and He encouraged me to cross over to the other side with Him as my guide and my protector.
I heard Jesus say to step out and to trust Him, as we just believe and receive all that He has for us it will show up.

Prophetic Dream

Dream: On Tuesday morning I dreamed that I and some others went to a large field that belonged to us (our body) to see how the crop was doing. When we got there we were overjoyed because the grain stocks were as tall as we were with huge heads of grain. In the dream I was overwhelmed with the presence of the Holy Spirit and the joy of the Lord and then woke up feeling drunk in Spirit.

Interpretation: I believe this dream is primarily about the harvest of souls that are ready to reap --

Psalm 126:6 (New International Version)

6 Those who go out weeping,
carrying seed to sow,
will return with songs of joy,
carrying sheaves with them.

That morning I also dreamed that we had come to a mountain that we were supposed to go to top of mountain. However the whole mountainside was thickly overgrown with large cat-tails. Then I heard a voice (the Holy Spirit) instruct us to wait till the sun rose and morning dew fell on the cat-tails because the weight of the dew would bend them down and make it easy to get through them and climb to the top.

Interpretation: In home group on Wednesday night the interpretation was given that the Cat-tails were voices of the enemy (the lies or tales of the roaming lion or accuser) and that the Sun rising represents the Lord rising over us and our circumstances and his word is the dew that settles on mountain (our territory, inheritance, and place of influence)and causes his enemies to bow before us.
